Cybercrime & Fraud

OVERVIEW

Cybercrime and fraud is now one of the greatest risks facing law firms and is highlighted by the SRA  in their Risk Outlook. Many of the stories are frightening, but the risks are real and firms need to  ensure that their staff are fully aware of the issues and that they have put in place all appropriate  safe guards.

The concept of Friday afternoon fraud is real, with Russian gangs targeting solicitors dealing with  property purchases on a complex fraud that allows them to steal cash on completion.
